Devon Dagworthy is a creative director and knitwear designer working in New York and Los Angeles who sees the world through rose-colored glasses. It is unlikely that one of her collections will be simple enough to summarize in one word which underlines her philosophy of knitting abstract concepts into lavish garments. Nonsensical yet wearable, dark yet whimsical: the Dagworthy woman is not an easy one to pin down and enjoys the fact that she can be called darling and devious simultaneously.

Devon was trained at Parsons School of Design and her main love is knitwear, believing that the challenge to make a garment from a single length of yarn is the most liberating experience a designer could hope for. She grew up in an artistic and tactile family: her mother, a couturier-turned-fashion stylist, would offer a needle and thread to cure a spell of childhood boredom, while her grandmother was an unintentional pioneer of DIY-fashion, seldom wearing a garment as it was intended to be worn from a store. These two women gave Devon a strong basis in both technique and creativity that is seen in her close attention to detail, yet playful and witty designs.
